Whats up guys, today i will show you guys easy way to change your DVD key to the
    original one.

i made this tutorial because i was having trouble with this problem myself.

    Why do this?

After you have swapped the Keyvault, the DVD key has been changed, and therefore you
cant launch any Games or Movies with the disk drive.

First of all you will need:

    - JTAG / RGH console
    - Flash360.xex
    - 360 flash dump tool
    - original DVD key, OSIG and Region code.

    Part 1; Dump nand.

1; Place Flash360 in the root of Hdd which would be "hdd:\here"
    2; Launch Flash360.xex
3; Press [X], then press [A], and then wait until it says its done.
4; Now you need to get the flashdmp file to your computer.

Part 2; Changing DVD key, osig and region.

?; If this is your first time using 360 flash dump tool, then click Settings - Keys and check XEX 1 and CPU-Key and add your consoles original CPU-Key in the CPU-key textBox.

    Picture; [IMG]
1; Click [Open file] and choose your nand dump.
2; Click [Patch] and check "Patch key vault"
3; Enter correct Region, Original DVD key and OSIG [if your OSIG isnt in the list, then dont choose any OSIG]
    4; Click ok
    5; Save file as "updflash.bin"

Part 3; Flashing the new Nand

1; Move the updflash.bin in the Flash360 directory
    2; Launch Flash360
    3; [A], then , then [START], then [A]
4; Wait until the flashing is done.
5; Done! now shut the console off and boot it up, and enjoy your games :)

Download; Flash360 and 360 Flash Dump Tool

Sorry for necromancing on this thread, but it's the only one I found that is relevant.

I need to replace my drive and don't want to attempt to flash a drive with my pc Because I never have. I had a friend do my RGH but I have done all the updates.

Question is: does this process still work?

I don't need to replace my keyvault with the original key, what I need to do is hardware replace my drive (it gets stuck and doesn't want to read discs anymore for some reason, plus I have about 30 spare drives of different types and brands).

Can I make a backup of my nand and restore it with the new drive? Would that write the original DVD key to the replacement drive?

I wish there was an RGH/JTAG app that would flash DVD drives. Is there one? Seems possible.

The 360 flash tool just keeps crashing when I attempt to open flash dumps

    edit--

Looks like the problem was it can't mod Dev NANDS (at least from what I tried to do).
I had to first change the key in a regular NAND dump then run the result through rgloader to end up with a different key and a dev NAND.
