Tutorial How To Mod Grand Theft Auto 5 Weapons.

Hello all though I would make a tutorial on how to mod your weapons in Grand Theft Auto Five.

First of all you are going to need a few items.

So what do you need?

• Liberty V
• A jtag or iso rip of GTA V.
• Notepad++
• Modded XEX file.

Once you have downloaded those tools install notepad++ as you will need it later.

Now open Liberty V and you will get this window.



Click Xbox 360 and this window will open.



Now once you open this you will need to extract the common.rpf file from your GTA V files, which is found in disk 2.



Extract this file to your desktop.



Now open this file in liberty v.

Once you have done that you will see this.


Click the + Icon, Click Data and click AI, once you have done this.

You will see this.




Now you see the weapons.meta file right click that and export it to your desktop.



Now right click this file and select edit with notepad++



Once you open this file you should see this.



Now click language at the top and change it to XML.

Once you have done that press CTRL + A and CTRL + C and click new at the top.

You should see this.



Now in new2 press CTRL + V

Now you have the same information in two separate files so you can compare what needs to be changed and what doesn't.

Now in notepad ++ click weapons.meta so you go back to the first file.

Now press CTRL + F to open the find window.



Now in here you can search for the weapons you want to mod in this case where going to change the SMG to fire RPG bullets.

So type in WEAPON_SMG and click find next and you will see this.



Now click new 2 so you go over to the other file and press CTRL + F again but this time type in WEAPON_RPG.

And you will see this.



Now if you compare the <DamageType>EXPLOSIVE</DamageType> you will see that the RPG has explosive so what you want to do is highlight this and copy it into the first file.

And you should now see this.



Now what this dose is change the SMG bullets from SMG rounds to RPG rounds.

Now you need to see what type of Fire type the RPG is so go back into new2.



As you can see there is it projectile so copy the same step as above and replace the one in the first file, and you will get this.



Now we need to see what type of ammo info is on the RPG, so click back into new2 and you will see this.



Now repeat the step above again and copy it into the first file, and you should have this.



If so your almost done >.<

Now click save.

Great you have now modded the SMG so it now fires RPG rounds hh:

Now what you need to do is open the common.rpf file again in liberty v.

Go back into data and AI.



Make sure you haven't got anything highlighted and right click in a open space and click import files.

Select the weapons.meta file from your desktop.



And this window will open.



Click Import.

Make a new folder on your desktop and call it modded rpf and then click save as icon.



Save it inside the folder you just made.



Now you have successfully modded the RPF and the weapons :big_boss:

Now simply copy the modded XEX and common rpf file into your disk two folder and your done.

Now boot the game as normal and when you fire your SMG you will fire RPG bullets instead.
