this might be difficult. I saw a movie many years ago when I was off sick (not sure how many years ago) and I don't remember any of the actors and the only part of the plot that I remember was a guy was driving a car and hit someone with it on a dark highway, any way I don't remember exactly what happens but he puts the guy in the back seat and he is all messed up, by the end of the movie it turns out that the guy in the back seat is actually himself. I know its not a lot to go on but I was hoping someone may have seen something like it.
There is a movie called "Ghost Town" that I think is fairly similar to your description. He meets a ghost which actually happens to be himself and he figures out he is the ghost, he's not really alive. Or something like that, hope it pushes you in the right direction.
