Well i'm pimping out a 360e with everyting that TX offers for a Corona and a case mod, in the process i decided to changed the crappy thermal compound between the die/ihs & ihs/heatsink.

In the pic below you can see a spot on both dies that had very little if any thermal compound, glad i never booted it because i just bought it today.

Thermal Compound Used: IC 24 Carat

    Heatsinks Used: http://stores.ebay.com/DIY-FancyLights/Heatsinks-/_i.html?_fsub=6492276015&_sid=1184035545&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

SD Card Reader Used: Sandisk MobileMate SD+

Soldering Station: Aoyue 936 with 900M-T-I 0.4mm Tip

Also had a friend design me a multicap addon for the slim, kind of like the multicap addon for CR because I got tired of soldering diff caps to test boot speed.

Credit to 3D0kassiah of Acidmods for the design..

Got my $10 batch of heatsinks with 3m thermal tape for ram, southbridge, nand, voltage regs in today, I know Its overkill but i had a $10 ebay gift card so i said why not.

I have this ordered for the 2 ram chips on the left side under the heatsink in the pic above.

    Fujipoly Ultra Extreme System Builder Thermal Pad - Mosfet Block - 100mm x 15mm x 1.5mm - Thermal Conductivity - 17 w/mk

    http://www.frozencpu.com/products/17502/thr-186/Fujipoly_Ultra_Extreme_System_Builder_Thermal_Pad_-_Mosfet_Block_-_100_x_15_x_15_-_Thermal_Conductivity_170_WmK.html?id=T8mARZek&mv_pc=654

17 w/mk is better than most thermal compounds, IC 24 Carat is only 4.5 w/mk & Arctic Silver 5 is 8.5 w/mk. I'm tempted to try the Fujipoly on Cpu/Gpu.

I know most of the stuff in this reply is overkill but i had the spare cash and wanted to test to see how much it helps temps if any..

I doubt I'll be able to sell this RGH because I have $180 in the brand new console & $130 in RGH & Cooling supplies, lol. But I don't mind keeping it for myself..

STARTING A v5 CORONA DUAL NAND PROJECT TODAY!!

IT WILL BE VERY SIMILAR TO MY v6 ABOVE BUT WITH 250GB HDD..

UPDATE: It looks like my 14yr old son that I taught to solder decided to make this his 1st RGH build while I was out of town. Here are some pics of his install, I still have to show him how to cut a window in the case, cut a window in the dvd drive and install leds and after all that it will find its way to the marketplace if he doesnt try to keep & if he does try to keep i'll have to sell his jasper rjtag.

Corona v5 With X360 Stone v1.1 Install Pics Coming Soon..

This Is my first time installing a X360 Stone v1.1 (DGX Stone) and so far I'm not very happy with the solder pad layout on the chip because it makes the C1 & C2 Wires cross each other and I personally don't like crossing wires unless there is no other option because back in the PS2 days it caused major interference.

Edit: The X360 Stone is crap, It booted to xell one time & then the chip never powered up again.

I decided to try the 360 Squirt 2.0 Reloaded since all current TX chips are discontinued - sold out everywhere & I'm very pleased with the chip so far.

Squirt 2.0's were ordered from MoonRiver-GameParts on Ebay.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xbox-360-Squirt-PCB-for-Coolrunner-V2-0-Most-Updated-Version-/321446832180?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ad7b96834

We ordered the FlashCatUSB Programmer to program the Squirt 2.0 chips, I decided to order this programer instead of the squirt programer because it is compatable with alot of other chips, consoles, modems, cable boxes unlike the Squirt programer.
    http://www.embeddedcomputers.net/products/FlashcatUSB/

    Here is 1 install pic:
Post: 12cm Kynar From Pad 1 On The Post Adapter v2 to Pad +32 On Squirt 2.0
    Cpu_Rst: 16cm Kynar From C5R11 (Under X-Clamp) to Pad +28 On Squirt 2.0
    Squirt 2.0 - J1, J2, J3 Unsoldered & Slim Jumper Soldered
I don't like to cross wires so I try my best to not cross any.

Here is a couple quick videos of the Corona v5 with Squirt 2.0 showing the boot time. The boot time is great with these chips, I hope the boot speed is the same after I get it all put back together. If not I'll have to spend time tuning it.

I will be the first to admit that this is the best booting chip that I have ever installed, If it boots the same when it's assembled I might be switching out my TX Slim Proto v2 for the Squirt 2.0 until the TX CR4 is released.

    http://youtu.be/_12UGD-nROY

    http://youtu.be/mZQI4iogVLU

All that's left to do is clean up all the flux, put it back together & prepare the hdd.
