The next game in the main Tomb Raider series is being targeted for a Christmas 2011 release, according to a report. US developer Crystal Dynamics is apparently working exclusively on the TR franchise, with the next Tomb Raider game (9?) being developed for PS3, 360 and PC, a "source" told Eurogamer. Ex-Crystal Dynamics artist Joel Boucquemont recently uploaded a load of artwork, showing detailed run-down and crumbling urban environments, on his site, "some" of which the source says is art from the next TR game. The developer said back in March that 'Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light', an isometric spin-off, is not the next TR game in the main series, and doesn't interfere with the dev's "other project".
