Yesterday we received a barrage of game trailers from Sledgehammer Games showing us Multiplayer gameplay , weaponry and Exo abilities along with much more. As well as the trailers creating a feeling of excitement and building a hype for what we can expect when the game releases on November the 4th, it also raised the question of who copied who?

Those that have watched the Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailers as well as playing TitanFall may have seen some similarities in the two games, which has raised the question 'Did Advanced Warfare rip off TitanFall'?

There were bound to be similarities between the two games since Jason West and Vince Zampella founded Respawn Entertainment the company that then went on to develop Titanfall after getting the sack from Activision shortly after the release of Modern Warfare 2.

Pre-production of Titanfall began in 2011 whilst the the eighth installment of the Call Of Duty franchise which was Modern Warfare 3 was announced in 2010 and was released in 2011.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was known to be in development after the legal dispute between Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella which led to them being sacked from Activision.

Interestingly Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare was announced before Modern Warfare 3 and after Black Ops although no dates or details about the game were released at the time.

Although the dates are close it would appear that Sledgehammer games were definantly developing Advanced Warfare before Titanfall was in in development, which would suggest an amazingly close coincidence that both games are so similar or that Titanfall is a rip of Advanced Warfare.

Sledgehammer games state that they were inspired by the use of exoskeletons in various medical journals and the army using the technology.
There are many similarities between the two games, they are most certainly arguably similar, both use Exo-skeleton suits, double jump, and utilize vertical spaces in a futuristic setting, so what are your thoughts on this, did Titanfall really rip off Call Of Duty, or was this just a coincidence? Let us know your thoughts below.

When reading up on Destiny they said that a lot of these "moves" are just the elements in the next gen game engines.

I believe it was share coincidence that both games have similar and not very distinctive elements.

CoD spoke of the exo suits and fight system fist for the next gensbut
Titan fall released it first.

That this can be an actual answer for why both games have similar but not distinctive elements and playable characteristics, given the notion that Destinyas well shared some of these very elements.

Overall, being as Titanfall already released it is solely up to CoD not to change but make there game stand out more than its opposing franchises. No?
