PC Gamer just released a list of what they consider to be the 5 best years EVER for PC gaming...and I’m not sure I agree with it completely.

What I mostly disagree with is their choice for number one...

PC Gamer cites 2015 as the best year ever for PC gaming because of these notable titles:

    MGS5: The Phantom Pain

    Rocket League

    Cities Skylines

    Fallout 4

    Invisible Inc

    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

    Kerbal Space Program

    GTA 5

    Her Story, 80 Days

    Pillars of Eternity

    Life Is Strange

    Prison Architect

    Rainbow Six Siege

    Heroes of the Storm

    Dying Light

    Nuclear Throne

    Tales From The Borderlands

I can’t disagree with the fact that this list for 2015 includes a lot of spectacular games (GTA:V is also the 3rd best selling game of all time), but does this make it the best year ever? Some earlier years that contain even just one or two awesome games should maybe take the number one spot-- like 2004 just for World of Warcraft, Half-Life 2, and Counter Strike: Source.

I actually think that 2007 (ranked 3rd on their list) was a better year than 2015 because of some of the games mentioned in the article (The Orange Box and Bioshock), and also Team Fortress 2.

Three of the games from 2007 also make the top ten section of PC Gamers list of the 100 best PC games of all time… So I think in some way they agree with me… :)
