It seems that this will be no surprise in Star Wars Battlefront if you are expecting a remastered battlefield. There will be no classes or squads - two things that you should be used to see in most shooters DICE and also other developers.

The information was released in the latest issue of OXM magazine, where the design director Niklas Fegraeus says players will be able to choose "freely" their weapons and equipment, instead of selecting the predefined classes. Instead you can unlock and use whatever you want using XP, then you will not get stuck in a particular feature by having to use classes.

Even more interesting is the question of squads, famous in the Battlefield series, where up to five players can be part of the same squad. Instead, in Battlefront will be a new feature 'Partners' linking two players so they can see each other in their HUDS and spawn on each other to save time and get around. They will also be able to share the jailbreaks, so if you join a top-level partner, or someone who bought a different loadout to your XP, you will have access to a different set of items.
