The upcoming Star Wars Battlefront beta will contain offline and online, multiplayer and co-op modes and will be open to everyone, EA has revealed.In terms of online multiplayer, Star Wars Battlefront’s beta will include Walker Assault on Hoth. Editor Dan played the mode and map combo this summer and declared it to be the best thing he’s ever played at an E3. And he’s been to a lot of E3s. Read more about that here.The other online multiplayer mode in the beta will be Drop Zone, which has been described as a King of the Hill variant. You’ll be able to play it on the Sullust map, which is all craggy rocks and lava veins. You can read more about that here.If online multiplayer isn’t your thing, that’s cool. The beta will also contain the Horde mode-esque Survival Mission mode. Taking place on Tatootine, you can either play with a friend online or in couch co-op.The final date for the Star Wars Battlefront beta “will be announced as soon as we have the final details locked in,” said Star Wars Battlefront and Titanfall community manager Mat Everett on the game’s official site.
