I tried XexToolGUI compared to the original xex tool because i had an error
(reading and parsing input xex file..default.xexp is not the correct patch file for default.xex)

. this looked alot simpler.. select default.xex then default.xexp, and xex save location. Except it is not in the saved location i named it patched.xex and it is not there. is there something i am doing wrong?
    someone please help..

    I am patching oblivion 's GOTYE .. default.xex

I Prefer to use cmd on xextool to patch it as xextoolgui does work for me most times.

(reading and parsing input xex file..default.xexp is not the correct patch file for default.xex)

in trying to patch it like this

    i typed:
    xextool -p default.xexp -o patched.xex default.xex

I've not had a chance to do anything new for a while but I have a list of XBLA games to get on with as soon as I get the chance, if there is anything done there is a request thread that I'll have a look at.

okay Addz here is what I am trying to do---

extract the default.xexp (In Title Update2 of Oblivion) and update the default.xex as patched.xex

so would I need both of the default.xex and the default.xexp from the Container in a seperate folder for xorloser's prog to do what i need? :)

The steps are from another forum so do not wanna post that on here.. but to get the right idea.. I am putting the Title Update, and all of the official DLC manually integrated into the game in extracted form, so i can put the unofficial DLC mods where the DLC normally goes, because the mods will not work if there is official DLC in the same folder.
