After microtransactions plagued the mobile gaming industry they have been creeping their way into console games (See battlepacks in the latest instalments of the Battlefield franchise)

Do you consider these acceptable under some circumstances or think that microtransactions should have never existed in the first place?

    Yes and no.

NO cause lets face it some of the microtransaction prices and content are ludicrous.

Yes cause it gives them rescource to give us great games

Solution maybe i should look into getting cheap microtransaction content............. :gamer4:

Microtransactions are the scurge of gaming and are getting way out of control. 2K games among others charge ridiculous money for a game these days and then fleece gamers by selling disc locked content etc.
I understand some AAA games cost more to make, the boundaries have been pushed and budgets are getting bigger, but if a game is priced sensibly and is built well, and not a rushed unfinished game relying on day one patches then it will sell and studios will cover the costs and make profits without the need of microtransactions.

Xbox and Playstation are fast entering the realms of 'Pay to Win' Freemium games....
