So i want to send a message to someone i just played against in forza motorsport 5, i've seen his GT so i press my xbox dash button, go to my profile>messages>new message Now i have the option to Add a recipient but it only shows my friendlist? How can i enter someone's Gamertag to send them a message. And also usually on the xbox 360 what i did was just go to the list of players i've met, search for his GT and send a message, so simple. So i have two issues here 1: How to send a message to someone you know the GT from but not friends with. 2: How to view the history of people you have encountered online (like on the xbox 360) Thanks!!
Simple answer to this is you cant. You would have to manually add the GT to your friends list if you managed to remember it! Its a massive oversight on Microsoft's part.
Wow thats crazy, in some games like Fifa you can't really pay attention to his/hers GT and by the end of a game you can't see that persons GT anymore. We had the GT History for that on 360. I didn't expect Microsoft to take these features out. Strange. But the weird thing is, 2 days ago someone did message me after a game and i didn't get any friend invitation from him so he could message me? Maybe there is a way around? Or maybe he remembered my GT, and sent the message from his computer/laptop trough xbox.com Thanks for your answer Bullet!
There is no recent friends feature at all, which is a real let down, the whole friends feature is really awkward on the Xbox One , as is the messaging. Hopefully when the party chat is remodeled they will do the friends features too.
Also you don't need to accept friends requests. They can add you and they are one of your followers until you add them.
You can actually send messages to recently played people. I do this all the time to piss off people in Fifa at the end. Go to friends list and change the tab to recently met or played. It will show all the people you played with recently.
