Microsoft has lifted the lid on the Xbox One Stereo Headset, slated to release worldwide in early March. Promising "a premium audio experience for both game and chat audio," the Xbox One Stereo Headset has the full-range audio spectrum of 20Hz to 20kHz, delivering deep bass and clear high frequencies. The Stereo Headset also has a unidirectional microphone for clear voice chat, and comfortable over-ear speakers. It'll also ship with the detachable Stereo Headset Adapter in the box, featuring audio controls like game and chat levels, master volume and microphone mute functions. The Stereo Headset Adapter will also ship separately in early March, enabling you to use compatible stereo headsets with your Xbox One. Take a look at the Xbox One Stereo Headset and Stereo Headset Adapter in the images below. Both will be available for Xbox One in early March, with the Stereo Headset carrying a price tag of $79.99/£59.99 and the Stereo Headset Adapter retailing for $24.99/£19.99. Source - X360A
I'll go with the 9.99 price. I'm sure you'll be able to find discounted ones shortly after its released. Or NYKO will end up making one for 9.99 garanteed. But as i'm planning on picking up the polk headset. Which is priced respectively at 159.99. Considering i have the Astro A50's which were 299.99 when i bought them. So 159 isnt bad. But yes i do think asking 19.99 for an adapter is ridiculous.
I just took my turtle beach headset I just bought back to Target because I said Flubber it Im getting the Turtle beach X07 instead.
£20? What a joke. They made the controller with the custom ports specifically for this attachment so you'd have to pay extra money to use a decent headset. Also, don't buy their headset. It'll probably be awful, get a decent one.
For my 360 I had to use the audio adapter cable, not sure it was cause my xbox was a really old one or my TV doesnt have audio out. I recently purchased a cable that allowed me to plug my turtles in to the 360, however i was not receiving any sound from my turtles. The guy i purchased it off said they were working fine when he tried it. Does anyone know if this cable will solve the problem or is it my television? I have turtle beach X12 by the way, if anyone could respond i would be very grateful, i hate playing without turtles its killing me lol
The adapter doesn't even support IN GAME AUDIO only talking -.-. Im not paying $25 to talk. We could use those shitty headsets we got we bought the system for party chat. Looks like im buying XOFour
