First art appears showing former Call of Duty creators' EA action game

Titanfall has been revealed as the debut title from Respawn, the studio formed by key staff from Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward.
The image, which appeared first on the Google Play store (via NeoGAF), is the next cover of US magazine Game Informer.
Respawn has been working on the top secret project since its formation in 2010, to be published by EA.

The cover image and accompanying text seem to confirm earlier reports describing the title as a "futuristic multiplayer-centric online shooter", featuring "big mech-style walkers".
According to a Kotaku article, Titanfall is a 'battle of Davids and Goliaths' and, crucially, the title will be always-online.
"The Davids are heavily-armed foot soldiers. The Goliaths are the giant exosekeltons-Titans-that these soldiers can pilot," it claimed. "These Titans are big mech-style walkers that move with an agility not seen in games like Mechwarrior or Steel Battalions."

It adds, "To keep the action balanced, game maps limit the number of Titans that can be used in a skirmish. Weapon loadouts for the foot soldiers are designed to ensure that the characters on foot can take out the Titans if need be."

According to the report Titanfall will be an Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive, with no PlayStation or Wii U release planned.
Respawn has pledged to make an appearance at E3 2013 next week, but it's likely we'll know much more about the game before then.
