Hello, just wondering if anyone can maybe tell me why this is happening.. Trying to load my backup of Diablo 3 from USB, all my characters show up on the save list, soon as I launch the game, my save is not recognized, instead I'm asked to setup screen size/gamma etc etc as though I'm launching it for the first time. Anyone can shed some light on this for me? It would be greatly appreciated. I checked my saved data utility and the data is still there not corrupted or anything. It just won`t load at all. All good. Fixed it. Will be uploading it soon as/if I can confirm it won't cause anyone else any issues.
very easy fix, to save your characters and your gear they are holding and wearing, BUT you loose all stash/gold/recipes learned 1. put the bad save on a usb 2. open with bruteforce and decrypt it 3. find a save that works or a save which stash/gold that you want 4. open that second save and decypt it as well 5. then delete the ACCOUNT.DAT in the corrupted file and replace it with the one from the new save 6.encrypt the save and do a full rebuild you will now have all your chars and their progress, BUT ( lets say you put a brand new account.dat in there) you are now at 0 gold, no recipes learned, no upgrades (stash or jeweler/blacksmith) and at 0 paragon this of course only works if you know how to use bruteforce....
