Caution to those upgrading to 4.45 OFW on PS3. There have been some reported issues from some PS3 owners that updated to 4.45. 4.45 OFW should allow you to disable trophy notifications during gameplay., but instead is causing issues like not being able to shutdown the system after failed boots, missing XB , and some more random issues. At the time of writing, there were over 570 replies with many other users reporting the same problem. One follow-up poster who had contacted Sony support said that they had been advised to "wait until their engineers have returned to work tomorrow and can address the issue". So be warned, for now please don't update to v4.45 OFW, until Sony releases a statement or a new official PUP for these problems!
lol interesting, haven't seen a bad firmware update in a while. if that happens, they usually make another one like the next day.
