Problem flashing Lite-on. (Help)...

Okay I have a guy who wants his drive flashed. At 1st when I was trying to flash it I had some trouble when the drive kept on connecting and disconnecting. Then when I was ready to flash it it autoloaded LT+1.1 but after a little while I managed to flash it to the latest 3.0 FW. The only problem then was the drive carried on connecting and disconnecting so it wouldn't outro the drive. Now when I connect the drive it jungleflasher won't pick it up whatsoever! I have tried 2 intro the drive multiple drive but it seems like the drive has gone completely dead!
It is not a problem with my hardware. I am using a USB PRO 2 and I have tried connecting a BenQ just incase it was my hardware and jungleflasher picks the drive up just fine! Any Ideas???

 

hi m8 if you have your key for the drive try liteon erase until u get 0x72

 

Yea I have the key but it will not erase. Simply won't pick the drive up!

 

Just intro and then try to flash, if it doesn't work try open the tray half way manually and do it again, it doesn't have to load in Jungle Flasher to flash the PCB.

 

unplug everthing m8 close down junglefalsher start it back up see if it picks drive up then try liteon erase again to see if u get good flash chip properties as from what i gather you cannot brick a liteon so all is not lost ..

you havent put the power lead in upside down by any error have u m8 ??

where about in the west mids are u m8 u can drop it at mine for me to look at if youre close ???

 

Walsall m8. No power is all fine. I have tried rebooting everything even tried a different computer to see if it would pick it up but still no luck!

Appreciate the help m8 but I think the drive is dead. Even when I put it back in the box and plug it in it get's E 64 which means a new drive! Atleast I have the key so the box isn't completely fooked. Cheers tho m8

 

ive got a spare drive m8 if you wanna come and pick up the board out of it ??

 

Thats not the problem now m8. It won't intro as it seems like the drive has no power. I have checked everythin is connected and I haven't snagged any wires but no luck!

 

Drives are 99% fixable, if it's dead do what Paddy posted with the recovery ISO then re-flash it.

drive recovery boot disc will fix this straight up just as paddy and ADDZ have both said, it has helped me in multiple occasions where i have had power outages halfway through and stuff like that, the only way to brick a liteon is to fry the fucker lol
