Sony has announced a PlayStation 4 release date of November 15 in the US and November 29 in Europe. The platform holder previously announced a PS4 price of £349 / €399 / $399. First-party PS4 launch titles will include Killzone Shadow Fall, DriveClub and Knack. Multiple UK retailers say they can no longer guarantee a PS4 on release day for those who place new pre-orders. However, sources close to the matter have told CVG that retail outlets have also been promised additional units for general sale on day one - meaning those who do not pre-order will still have a small chance of buying the system on release day. PS4 owners will require a PS Plus subscription in order to play online multiplayer, which isn't the case on PS3 or Vita. PS4 will go head-to-head with Xbox One later this year. Microsoft said last week that Xbox One will be released in 13 markets this November, down from the 21 markets initially announced. Microsoft has confirmed an Xbox One price of £429 / $499 / €499.
