Support Notification problem

Im not sure how the follow button work but when I follow a thread do I get a notification on all the post that are being posted or am i suppose to check a certain area to find the thread that I'm following? I always thought it would notify me if someone posted in that thread but it doesn't notify me. So if anybody can explain to me how it works, that would be awesome.

 

Go to your notification options and make sure the followed topic notifications has a check mark.

 

thanks i didnt realize that there was a settings for the notification. always thought it was automatic
