Fans hoping for a year-end Mass Effect holiday treat from BioWare are out of luck, as the developer has confirmed that it won't share any more details on the next Mass Effect game until 2014 "More info sometime in 2014 I hope. That's the most specific I can be," BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn said on Twitter recently. BioWare showed the first images of the next Mass Effect game (which will not feature Commander Shepard) last month as part of its celebration of N7 Day. The untitled game will run on the Frostbite 3 engine and, according to executive producer Casey Hudson, will be "fresh and new." In addition to the new Mass Effect game, BioWare is working with Legendary Pictures on a Mass Effect feature film, though no release date or casting details have been divulged.
