It will reward “healthy participation while reducing troublemakers and cheaters.” It is the latest in new feature roll outs after their E3 presentation. In essence, it sounds like Microsoft will be using this system to keep the community clean. Reputation will also be visible on a person’s Gamerscore, so other players will know just how nice (or not nice) you are. Now while this sounds like the same system that is used on Xbox 360's reputation and report system, Microsoft officials confirm it is indeed something new and different. Systems like these are often susceptible to abuse, but that won’t be a problem according to Mike Lavin of Microsoft. Now while it seems bland now, Microsoft assures its consumers that things will be different this time around. This is definitely good news for the Xbox One and those who were looking for reasons to purchase the console after the huge let down at E3. The Xbox One is slated to be released during the Holiday Season of 2013. “The way that it’s built fundamentally stops that,” he says. “It’s very much over a period of time. If we see consistently that people, for instance, don’t like playing with you, that you’re consistently blocked, that you’re the subject of enforcement actions because you’re sending naked pictures of yourself to people that don’t want naked pictures of you… Blatant things like that have the ability to quickly reduce your Reputation score.”
