Microsoft has responded to reports that online services for the Xbox One have experienced periodic outages. Following the console's launch in Australia and Europe, Xbox One services, including the official Xbox website, have experienced intermittent connection issues. Microsoft has acknowledged the problems, and while are now restored the company assures users that it is investigating the cause of the problem. "Microsoft can confirm that all online services have been restored. We are investigating the root cause of the disruption and will continue to keep updated as information becomes available," a Microsoft representative told Games Industry. November 22 marks the launch date for Xbox One in Europe, Australia and North America. An Australian retailer has warned customers that stock of the is rapidly depleting leading up to Christmas. Meanwhile, Microsoft corporate VP Phil Harrison has acknowledged that the company will face challenges meeting demand in the period before Christmas.
