Nintendo will release Mario Kart 8 - the series' debut appearance on Wii U - in May. Company CEO Satoru Iwata made the announcement during an investors meeting in Japan on Wednesday. The announcement accounts for a worldwide launch, said Iwata. Nintendo previously had the title pinned for a vague 'Spring 2014' release, with earlier indications pointing to an April launch. Mario Kart 8 was revealed during Nintendo's E3 2013 Direct stream. The newest entry in the garlanded Mario Kart series introduces anti-gravity within the courses, allowing races to move to the walls and ceilings. Source - CVG
