Microsoft has detailed and dated its Xbox One Media Remote, which is set to release in "early March". The remote allows users to control video feedback for Blu-ray discs and other supported streaming apps, plus it can also control TV/Receiver power and volume through Kinect, via IR blasting. Microsoft says the remote features "a soft, silicone finish" and "familiar design". As soon as users pick up the remote, motion-activated backlit buttons illuminate, allowing it to be used in the darkest of rooms, it says. The remote also features dedicated Back and OneGuide buttons. The Xbox One Media Remote will retail for $24.99 in the US. European pricing is yet to be provided. Source - CVG
