jtag install help please

OK I recently acquired a xenon on dash 5787 and I want to try to jtag it I've done plenty of rgh's but never had the opportunity to do the jtag (guess I'm a little late to the game) but I wanted to know if I can use just the switching diodes on the jtag wires and can I use my j-r programmer to dump the nand like I do on the rgh I've been searching for a couple of days now and have found no solid answers any help is greatly appreciated thank you.

 

100%, just use the switching diode and jumper wire then use your J-Programmer to dump/flash your nand image and you are good, insta-boot old-skool Jtag
