Hey there guys. I am sort of new to this so please bear with my stupidity. This is my first time owning a different console other than playstations. I recently purchased an Xbox 360 and all I know about it is that I can save the games in my harddrive and I won't need the discs anymore everytime I play. I have had an issue with playing Final Fantasy XIII because it keeps asking me to insert disc 2 which I don't have as per it's installed in my harddrive. I tried searching for answers on google but I just got confused. First off, I don't even know if this one I have is JTAG or RGH. I also get confused with the terms they use & how it is to be done. Can someone please help me with this? Oh, all I know is that it has the FSD 2.0. That is, if I am not mistaken, XOXO, Crizzy
Welcome, Crizzy. What type of Xbox 360 is it? By that I mean is it one of the newer models like a slim and what color is it? Jtags are rare because they required an earlier dashboard being installed on the xbox before it could be exploited and that dashboard has been obsolete for years. Back to your question, newer versions of dashlaunch and FSD automatically handle disc swapping. The games on your hard drive need to be in separate folders labeled as to which disc they are. Example: You have a Final Fantasy XIII folder on your HDD and inside that is a folder labeled Disc 1 and a folder labeled Disc 2 with the files inside their respective folders.
Xbox 350? I must get one of these. :trolldance: Try to peek inside the xbox and see if you see any glowing lights, this would indicate a chip installed so it would be RGH.
Dammit! Xbox 360! I was typing to fast to notice. Sooorrrryyyyy! How can I delete this to create a new one. This is sooo effing embarrassing! @Programmer, ugh. that got me confused. @noneed, someone told me it's a new model. Black, slim. All I see here is that, MFD date is 11/09/2011.
You don't have to delete this, just edit your post and use the full editor to edit the title. Also if it is a slim, then you have an RGH
Just edit your post using the full editor. XeBuild GUI download: http://www.logic-sun...16-xebuild-gui/ Flash360 (to dump your nand) : http://www.logic-sun...2-flash360-v10/ Anyways, you have a Slim so it means that you have a RGH
You could just look inside the top where the hard drive is, and if you see lights flickering inside it is an RGH, taking it that it has a cool runner inside it.
Oh sheesh, thanks guys! I was on google and saw this site so I signed up to ask for questions. I really need help with this console. All my girlfriends are useless because they really don't play video games and they just laugh at me when I ask them if they know something about this. Sooo, it's RGH then. Is it true I can't go online? The store who sold it to me said don't go online or it might update the software something. But I wanna play online. @Programmer, so I will just have to install these on my Xbox?
No, here's the description for XeBuild: http://xbox-360.logic-sunrise.com/en/news-572593-xebuild-gui-2088-support-of-xebuild-106-and-dash-launch-305-update.html Look up flash360 on google, it will help you .
That is correct, you will be almost instantly banned going onto Xbox Live with a JTAG or RGH. You must also be careful not to apply system updates as these attempt to "fix" JTAGs/RGHs.
Well you can go online and stay on for like 2 hours to 2 days (Estimation) if you buy XBLS. Don't go into that kind of stuff if you're a beginner.
So I really don't have chances of going online then. I choose xeBuild GUI 2.089.zip. Is that ok? And how will I be able to play Final Fantasy XIII without Xbox asking for a disc 2?
You have come to the right place though, visit the JTAG/RGH section of the forums for tutorials and information to help you better understand your new toy. Any questions you don't find the answers for in there, please don't hesitate to ask.
Awww, you guys are sweet! Thanks. I really want to know more about this. It's been so long since I last played video games and i knew that i have to start playing again.
