First off you will need to start by completing the campaign, once completed return to the tower and head towards Eris Morn she should have(if you've not done so already) a quest which requires you to get 5 calcified fragments, upon collect 5 fragments return to Eris and then you'll be provided with a quest called "A Broken Will" where you'll need to collect 25 Hadium Flakes, 10 Motes of Light and 25 Spinmetal/Helium Filaments or Relic iron pending on which sword you're getting, once all of the above has been collected return to the tower and the sword will be waiting for you at Lord Shaxx. To get the exotic sword quest line from Lord Shaxx you must infuse weapons into your sword till it hits 280+ and is fully upgraded, once that's been done it'll trigger the exotic quest, you'll need to return to the tower to collect the quest from Lord Shaxx. The first step of the exotic quest is for you to kill 25 Guardians in the crucible with the legendary sword(The sword doesn't need to have ammo, you can just kill them with the handle) and the second part is to kiil 50 majors(Yellow health bar enemies) Step 2: After speaking to Lord Shaxx he will give you a quest to kill Escthar, The Sword Of Oryx in the Asylum. To get to the Asylum head to the Masoleum then in the back right corner there will be a door way, enter and follow the path and drop down the hole into the floor, follow that around and take a right which should lead you to a court yard area where you'll see 3 Knights, to open the door that leads to the Asylum all three Knights needs to be killed roughly at the same time(within about 10 seconds) if done successfully the door will open, follow the path till you come to an open area and begin to kill enemies and Escthar will spawn you must kill him for this part(You must use a sword to drop his shield). Step 3:For this final part you'll be given a quest to collect materials on either Earth, Moon or Mars pending on which sword you're going for, Spin metal for the Arc Sword, helium filaments is for the Solar Sword and Relic Iron for the Void Sword, for example for the Solar sword you'll be asked to find Solitron Flare, you'll need to keep collecting helium filaments till you get the drops, you'll need 10 total to complete that part of the quest, the second part is to also get solar ability kills(This will change pending on the sword you're trying to obtain.) 5 ablility kills = 1% or if you do this in Crucible it's 1% per 1 Ability kill. Upon completing all steps above you'll now need to wait till Arms Day(Wednesday) and your sword will be waiting for you at the tower.
