How do you Mod a Profile or Game save on a PC

    I have one PC Windows game

    GOW that I would like to do a couple of mods and don't know how to go about it

    1. where is the profile saved on the hard drive
    2. where are the game saves located
    3. can the same tools that are used to mod your profile and game save be use for PC Windows games
    4. are there any read me or tuts on this site to go about it
