Help With Updating is it even possible??

So my original dvd drive was broken and i decided to replace it like me being a moron threw away the old drive i thought it was junk obviously the new drive couldnt play games wasn't a big deal i just watched netflix but then this update rolls out to flash the dvd drive to stock if there is an issue it wont update so now i have a useless metal box that lights up to an xbox dash that i can do nothing on

 

if you have lost your old drive, you would need to rgh to get the dvd key!

 

So are you saying you lost your drive key?
or was the new drive flashed with the FW before you threw the old one away?
What model was the original drive?
Is the New drive the same model as the old drive?

if you answer them questions i can tell you exactly what you can and cant do about updates, without that information i cant help

 

What update ? Iv updated 2 xbox 360 that have the wrong dvd drive key and they can get online.
