GTA V Online Survival Guide

Here's a massive guide to surviving online, everything from escaping the cops, robbing stores without getting wanted levels, easy rank points ,easy cash.

How To Rob A Store Like a Baus:



We all know robbing stores is easy cash and fun , but the cops have to ruin everything right!

Here's how to rob a store with no wanted level , and how to rob the same store over and over!

Enter the store Do Not Pull a weapon

Walk upto the cashier and punch him

Stand in front of the till and press right on the D-Pad

Once you have emptied the till press "Start"

Press left on the D-pad once and select Xboxlive store.

Once at the store press B and return to the game.

Rinse and repeat

As long as you do not pull a weapon or kill the cashier you should be able to repeatedly rob the store and get max cash.

How To Escape The Police



If you are not in an actual mission here's how to escape the police easily!

Once you have attracted the attention of the Police , press "Start"

Press left on the D-pad once and select Xboxlive store.

Once at the store press B and return to the game.

You have now lost your wanted level !

This doesn't work if you are in an actual mission, but you can loose the police upto 4 stars easily.

Anytime you are in a mission with a wanted level simply head for a train line.

Once you are on a train line just keep driving, the police hardly ever go on the train tracks.

How To Get Max Strength In Under 10 Minutes:



Here's an easy way to max out your strength online.

You will need 2 players ( you and a friend )

You need a car, doesn't matter if its your own or stolen

The person who wants to get there strength maxed gets out the car while the one who not getting it stays in the driver seat.

The person who's getting there strength maxed just keeps kicking the vehicle that the other person is in.

Then simply switch positions for your buddy to max his strength.

Max Driving Skills Easy Method

To max your driving skills easily you will need to do the following:

Choose race Criminal Record

Choose Motorcycles
Now pick the Bati RR

Set to 30 laps

Give it hell around the oval race track and Max your driving skills easily.


Max Stealth Skill Grind

This method involves leaving your console on overnight so be warned!

You will need an elastic band or sticky tape.

Find a remote area of the map, the safest places are inside a building , garage, apartment etc.

Now using the elastic band or sticky tape, tie back your Left stick so that your character is walking around in circles.

Click the right stick so you are in stealth mode and then leave your console overnight.

GTA V Online Easy Money and Rank

This tutorial will show you how to get $700,000 and 160,000 RP in under an hour.
In order to do this you will need to play the mission called " Mixed Up With Coke". This mission in itself is pretty simple.

Mixed Up With Coke:

Mission brief:

This is what happens when you send bad men to fight bad wars and then take back their jobs. An ex-military unit's been bringing charlie from the south cutting us out. I wish i could let it slide but its impossible. They are based at a downtown construction site and have shipments ready to go cross state in cement trucks. Can you destroy the trucks and the bricks inside?

So as you can see you need to blow up 4 cement mixers which will earn you $18,000 and 3,500RP (Rank Points).

The best / easiest way to do this mission is with four players. Using 4 people you can take out one cement mixer each this will mean the mission will only take you around one minute to complete.

How To Rank Up Fast and Get Rich Quick:

Team Requirements:
One player that is rank 45 to start the game

Two players with grenades unlocked ( Level 9+ )

Two players with sticky bombs unlocked ( Level 19+ )

Team Roles:

Player 1:


Player 1 should have grenades unlocked.

Player one run across the street and through a grenade at the second beam on the building ( see picture)



Player 2:

Run to the right side of the construction site ,jump the wall and get into position ( see image below)
You should use Grenades here again.



X marks the spot :



The X is where you will be when you throw the grenade.

Player 3:

You will need sticky bombs for player 3.

Jump in a car and place a marker on La puerta, that's where the truck will spawn.



Player 4:

Player 4 will need sticky bombs. Jump into your car and put a marker on your map for South boulevard del perro , see image below:



When you arrive at th point marked on the map you will see the truck spawn, throw a sticky bomb on it and BOOM... easy money, easy Rank points.



This is the easiest way to rank up and earn $$$$$ online on GTA V Online.


Easy Rank Points Car Racing The Easy Way



Here's how to get Easy rank points on your own.

Simply find a race

Select Host a race

Do not invite anyone, just setup the race and launch it.

You will now be in a race by yourself so you cant lose and still get Rank points!


Don't Lose Your Cash


If you have followed some of the above guides and have lot's of un-banked cash, you can easily be robbed.
You don't have to run to an ATM hoping some random doesn't mow you down after that big job with a pocket full of cash.

Here's an easy alternative to the risky ATM trip.

1. Pull out your phone.

2. Go to the internet app.

3. Click on the "MONEY AND SERVICES" tab at the top.

4. Scroll down to the MAZE BANK link & click.

5. Once on the MAZE BANK site you can deposit/withdraw cash just like at an ATM.

Never risk losing your hard earned cash again.

Join a Crew:


Joining a crew is important for online survival...

GTA V was designed to be played in crews.

Doing missions with friends is easier

Being in a crew brings Bonus Rank Points , so its worth it even if just for that.

Buy a Garage For a free Elegy RH8



If you follow the above guides and get some spare cash you should buy a garage.

Once you buy a garage the Elegy RH8 will be available to order for free from the Legendary Motorsports website.

How To Prevent Character Deletion

If your character doesn't load follow these steps to avoid deleting it !

Do NOT create a new character

Return to the single player mode

Enter GTA Online through the main menu, connecting through the Cloud Server and retrying when unable to connect.

Do NOT select "Retry" if you receive the message "Rockstar Cloud Servers are unavailable."

Do not enter GTA Online with saving disabled: If you opt to enter multiplayer on a temporary character without the ability to save, none of the data from that play session will be stored, even if the services come back up while you're playing. To make sure progress is saved, you should only proceed into GTA Online when the Rockstar Cloud Servers are working.
