GTA 5 Error

Hey guys, I have a real issue with this game, I've been trying for four days now to make it work but it's not. I've been following multiple guides on how to install the game and I have succesfully done it, I get to enter in the game, get to finish the first mision and the one following next, but at a random time I get an error "Game couldn't start, please download the game again", I've searched for a fix, one was to install a "Title Update" I have done that aswell, but it doesn't help, the error still pops up. I saw that another way was to update my kernel version, but if other games like FIFA 15 / Watch Dogs and others work without any kind of glitch/errors, could that be it? Thanks for reading this, I'm really desperate

 

As you well know GTAV is a 2 disc game, now I've explained this a lot to other members or posted about two disc games and the way to install them.

First off the best thing to do it is delete the game if you are running FreeStyleDash the 'Play' disc.

Get your install disc and run as normal, the install will install the content to the internal HDD as normal same goes for any other two disc games (if you own the physical copy), just think of your RGH as your retail the content disc WILL ALWAYS install to the internal HDD without the need to extract this, that or other.

Make sure you're on the latest TU (Title Update 21).

Yes, it is advisable to update your kernel to the latest as this eliminates many problems, also if you run DashLaunch disable any plugins you have to eliminate the problem to.

Basically try all of the steps above to get this problem sorted, any issues please feel free to either PM / post in here and other XPG members will help you.

 

Hey thanks for replying, I tried updating it again to the last TU it didn't work sadly.

My dashboard version is 2.0.17150 do I need to update it?

If your dashboard is that version then no you don't need to update it.

Are you running FreeStyle Dash by any chance? If so find out the MEDIA ID of the game, it sounds like a TU that isn't capable with your MEDIA ID of GTA V, if you give me that I will find one that WILL work.

 

are you ripping the play disc to your RGH if you are how are you ripping it via xexmenu or FSD as i had this problem when ripping the game to my HDD useing xexmenu i tried it via FSD and i have not had a problem since

 

I am running the FreeStyle dash indeed, I suppose this is the MEDIA ID "79E465C5", this is the media ID from the 2nd disc.

I don't follow this question, I'm using the FSD to get the game into my HDD, xexmenu doesn't start when I try to start it.
