Ok. so I have all kinds of fishing videos from my gopro that I am trying to edit, and the video keep coming out choppy. I am not trying to do any thing fancy, no special effects just shorten the video with a start and stop point. I am using the official gopro software and it says the source video is 29.97 fps and the out put file says the same thing but the final converted video is choppy. is there better software to use keeping in mind that my computer skills are limited. Like I said, all I want to do is shorten the videos by cutting out unnecessary footage at the beginning and end.
Extract the video from the GoPro, and drag it straight into your video editing software, but make sure to define the quality. I always do 720p because it's good quality and there's barely a noticeable difference between that and 1080p. Highlight the segments you wish to cut, and remove them. Afterwards, when you save it, make sure the conversion is set to come out as either .mp4, or .mvk. I used to do video editing with AfterFX, but the pay way awful for the amount of work I put in, so if that's what you're using, this method should work flawlessly If this method doesn't work, I hope someone else who is better than I can help you out
