Fallout 4 UPDATE: E3 VR Reveal To Change The Gaming Industry

FALLOUT 4 fans had better tune in to E3, as Bethesda hypes a massive new project that will change the industry.

Fallout 4 developer Bethesda is hyping this year's E3 gaming expo, where it will showcase its 'industry changing' VR project.

AMD claims Bethesda's Fallout 4 virtual reality project will do for VR what Mario and Sonic did for the home console.

AMD's corporate vice president Roy Taylor made the claims at VR World Congress (via MCV). He said: "It will change the way we think about VR. It will be an industry changer."

And the good news for fans is that Fallout 4 VR will be playable at E3.

Interestingly, Taylor also suggested that VR could soon go wireless following the partnership between AMD and Nitero.

"They're an inhibitor to what should be giving great freedom of movement," he continued. "One of the most important things we do next is get rid of those pesky wires. I'm very pleased to tell you that AMD has come up with a solution."

Pete Hines recently hyped the game, telling Hip Hop Gamer what Fallout 4 director Todd Howard had said about the game.

"Fallout 4 VR is the most incredible thing you've ever seen in your life,” Hines said.

“You can't even imagine what it's like, playing in VR and how realistic it looks and everywhere you turn your head. It is going to blow your mind. It is the craziest thing you've ever seen."

Howard has also confirmed that both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition will be playable on the Xbox Scorpio in the same way as PS4 Pro.

"We just wrapped up updating Fallout 4 for the PS4 Pro. We’re used to that in the PC world," Howard said.

"We can update the games, and people keep playing it. Microsoft’s Scorpio is coming next year, and we’ll update Fallout 4 and Skyrim for that.

"That’s our hope, that these consoles keep that spirit going forward. It’s also the pride of ownership. I like browsing my library of games.

“Whether it’s on the shelf physically or digitally, that’s all my stuff. And I don’t want to feel like I could lose it, or it has no value, other than sitting there."

But while there’s been an announcement regarding performance boosts for both consoles, there's still no word on whether we'll see a Fallout 4 VR PSVR port.
