Noticed lately over the past few weeks a lot of fake vouches. Going to peoples topics who have a service and posting "legit" or "vouch" without using the service. You can't vouch for something you haven't used... I saw one person even say they didn't do any business with the person posting that the service was legit and they didn't know why they were being vouched for by them. Saying someone is legit without having personal knowledge of the service/sale being legit is a lie and should be addressed. Vouching for someone you know from another site or other means is different. That's not what's happening though. Search through some topics and you'll see. /rant
TBH Vouches mean nothing anyway. As long as the user is verified by staff is enough. There are alot of services on here and people know who the legit users are and who to trust
True. To me a "vouch" is only as good as the person giving it.. I'm talking about going to a topic posting legit without using the service. It might not be an easy thing to notice but after a while it becomes apparent. Especially when the person offering the service even questions why someone they've had no dealings with is vouching for them.
I have even had hosters(yes multiple) ask me to "fake vouch" for them even after I have told them I do not use LIVE, just because I am staff, does not make my word worth anything,, if I vouch for a service I did not receive it is a fake vouch.
Just to be clear guys I have not messaged 1 staff for this. Every staff member I have listed have been in my parties and lobbies. OP: n00bs just trying to get service that it all people, they can't earn it themselves.
Fake vouches is apart of the bad side of these lobbies and recoveries, Just be careful of who you send your money to. You wont see a VOUCHE with my name on it because i don't risk my GT for something silly like rank and unlocks. I have skills and can unlock them myself during normal gameplay online. Now offline is another story, i cheat my ass off. :sarcastic_hand:
I have had people say my vouches are fake. You have to remember that a lot of people that buy the service don't post or made an account just to buy.
yes this is why I did not mention any names or members in particular, because right or wrong on their part it would be wrong of me to single any of them out, one thing that many are seeming to forget is that just because your online and legit hosting today, does not mean you will be tomorrow, it takes a bit of time to aqire the true status of "trusted" here , just because you have X vouches from trusted members or new members, it means nothing really till you've maintained a steady reputation as trusted for a period of time, this goes for all things from simple forum advice to sales and hosting "Rome was not built overnight"
Exactly, I know how hard it is to become a trusted member and seller. I'm still trying to become a trusted seller, and had only a few legit vouches. I've never had anyone fake vouch for my services, as I support my sales and services with proof. It's definitely wrong that people fake vouch, just to try and increase their rep and status though. To be honest, I wouldn't really want to purchase from someone who did not have any credible vouches from other trusted members here on the site. I always feel safe, knowing that I am purchasing from a trusted member who has the trusted member badge
maybe where your from , that's the closest english translation from our native language of "adfhhjhfdjahjheurawuirhwierhwal" so anyway , I'm glad this is out in the open among our members ,, and I appreciate the fact that (so far) it is a civilized discussion without flaming or fingerpointing,,that's the way discussions need to be on here
