external hdd on xbox slim question

    We got a 4GB slim for cheap.
    Needless to say, that is not enough storage for anything.
    We have a little 500GB Western Digital passport external HD sitting around not being used for anything.

    Is there anyway to make it to where the xbox slim recognizes it as the primary HDD?
    Steps to do so if there is a way appreciated :D

    You can format 16GB section of your hdd and use them as memory space. But it has to be Fat32
