EA Access has been giving subscribers access to a whole library of Xbox One titles for a while now via The Vault, but it looks like EA might be expanding that very library into also offering backward compatible Xbox 360 games on Xbox One, as it's added the first this week.
PopCap's original tower defence-based Plants vs. Zombies is now available in EA Access's Vault alongside the likes of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Peggle 2, FIFA 15, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Need for Speed: Rivals, EA Sports UFC, NHL 15 and three Madden NFL games.
Although the addition of Plants vs. Zombies is well-timed to tie-in with the recent release of Garden Warfare 2, it could signal the beginning of more backward compatible EA titles to come, like Mass Effect, for instance. However, EA has yet to officially announce anything on this. Watch this space.
EA Access currently includes 16 games in The Vault, and offers trials and early access to new releases, as well as 10% discount on all digital EA content. A subscription costs $4.99/£3.99 a month or $24.99/£19.99 for a year.
