The developers of Dying Light say that they are "in awe of some of the modds" that the community have been creating for Techlands latest game. This admiration has spurred the devs of Dying Light to look into releasing official mod tools for the game. According to a post today on the Techland support forums, mod tools for the game have been in development for a while, "Soon, you'll be able to create your own version of a zombie outbreak. We've been working on a set of Modding Tools for some time." The devs ask "what would you like to see in our modding tools. What would you like to create with it? What would you like to do with them? " There are numerous suggestions in the thread such as weapon mods, and model mods, but perhaps the most requested feature has to be a map editor. The mod tools would be for PC obviously so do not expect them for Xbox One or PS4, although a map editor would be nice for Next gen consoles, similar to the one on Far Cry 4. What mod tools would you like to see?
Yes i find this as great news that they do support mods and do not get mad at the community for doing so.
It's not spoiling anything for the players it's local or co-op and you will need host so it's for private use and will make the game fun for those that chose to use it, I grinded and struggled in parts but done the story and I'd be all for this but it will be a PC tool
We wont see any mod tools on consoles, but a map editor would be epic. After i finished grinding Far Cry 4 I started playing with the map editor on there and there is some amazing fan made maps. Maybe we should petition for a map editor on consoles
