Releasing on May 24th, DiRT 3 is set to launch with more cars, more locations, more routes, and more events than any other game in the franchise. The game will include over 50 rally cars representing five decades of racers. Codemasters says that DiRT 3 has double the track content of the predecessor, and the all new inclusion of the Gymkhana driving events. Dirt 3 is as it sounds, a rally inspired racing game that has you driving the most hazardous terrains in a wide variety of race specific vehicles. One constant that seems to cropping up in the first reviews of the game is variety. Variety in cars, tracks, and gamemodes are making this soon to be released racer a must have. The critics have been kind to the game thus far, with the game holding a metascore of 87 and 88 on Xbox 360 & PS3 respectively. GameTrailers 9.2/10 Games Radar 9.0/10 Video Gamer 9/10 Eurogamer 9/10 Game Informer 8.8/10 IGN 8.5/10 Bit-Gamer 7.5/10 These first scores are pacing the game well ahead of other racers that were released earlier this year. With its main competitors Shift 2: Unleashed (81) and Motorstorm: Apocalypse (77), not making quite as good an impression on metacritic contributors.
