DICE has detailed the four kits that will be available to players in Battlefield 4‘s multiplayer, these are of course Assault, Recon, Engineer, and Support. “Going into Battlefield 4, we knew we wanted to take the four playable classes from Battlefield 3 as a starting point. We’ve tweaked them to be more versatile and more highly specialized within their fields. Now more than ever, you can explore a wide range of combat roles and sub-roles when picking your load out and kit,” the developer explained. The Engineer role has been tweaked to offer a greater variety of tactics while playing. Vehicle disables and guided weapons have all been revamped to allow for more variation. The Support kit now has more offensive options and will get to keep the C4 and Claymores from Battlefield 3, which were re-added following community feedback. Recon now has more mobility and sniping has some revamped mechanics. Sniper rifles have also been re-balanced. Finally Assault has remained relatively unchanged from Battlefield 3, except for the addition of the first-aid pack which can be stuck to an ally to heal them over time.
