The promised Destiny: The Taken King spring update will roll out on April 12, Bungie has announced. Update 2.2.0 has previously been described as the biggest content drop since the launch of The Taken King in September 2015, so you can expect a great deal more than the likes of Sparrow Racing and Crimson Days delivered. Bungie will be detailing the update in Twitch streams every Wednesday for the next three weeks (see Bungie.net for the schedule) but here’s the executive summary: New PVE challengesNew and updated GearNew quest featuring the Blighted Chalice StrikeIncreased max Light and rewardsSandbox and Crucible Updates“And more”And then of course there’s an expansion on the cards, after that. Into The Pit came up via iTunes shuffle just as I saw the update news today and I reacted by taking The Division out of my disc tray and throwing it across the room. Long live the king. source
