Preview 'Dead Island: Riptide' new screens showcase island of Palanai

Dead Island: Riptide has been given new images.

Nine new screenshots show the four survivors from the original game, as well as newcomer John Morgan, taking on zombie hordes in the new island setting of Palanai.



Dead Island: Riptide's lack of a Wii U version has also been explained by publisher Deep Silver.

The game will continue directly from where the original Dead Island left off, and adds a new playable character and a new island under siege by a monsoon.

A nine-minute video of Dead Island: Riptide recently showcased a zombie defence mission.

It will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC from April 23 in North America and April 26 in Europe, alongside a number of special editions.

A controversial Zombie Bait Edition, including a mutilated statue of a female survivor, was followed by an apology from the publisher.
