Dakko Dakko has announced that it is working on HD ports of its two PSP games for PlayStation Vita.

Both of the indie studio's previously released PSP minis - The 2D Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character and Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims - are receiving HD upgrades with redrawn graphics and remastered chiptune soundtracks to take advantage of the Vita's screen.

They will also offer new features including online leaderboards in the challenge mode for The HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character, rear touch panel support for Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims HD and PSN trophy support for both titles.

"We're really happy to be bringing these games to Vita. The redrawn and remastered graphics for both games look amazing on the bigger screen, and the music sounds better than ever," said Dakko Dakko producer Dan Croucher. "All in all, these will be the definitive versions of Dakko Dakko's first two games."

The HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character and Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims HD are both scheduled to release on Vita this summer.
