In the first Borderands game modding was a big part to how long it lasted and how much fun we all had. The Gearbox team say that they were genuinly impressed with what the modders had brought to the table with the first Borderlands game. Randy Pitchford of Gearbox says: ''Fortunately BL1 was a tremendous success, millions and millions of units sold. We’re at 6 million units sold right now, and that is exciting for a new IP -its unprecedented really. That means, we were able to put the budget into BL2 that it deserves – a budget I wish we’d had for the first game – and as such we can up some of our priorities.'' At the moment there is no information about mods for the Xbox 360 or PS3 platforms, But Im sure someone here will have some form of mods before the sequels release In my opinion i think that there should be mods available across all platforms not just forcing us to create mods illegitimately, which can result in console bans and profile bans. Gearbox encourage PC gamers to create mods, but i think that the PC gamers pay less and they are the ones who have the ability to extend gameplay time and the overall fun of the game. When i get the game i will most likely play through the entire game before i use any kind of mods, but after the game is completed i think that mods are one of the ways we can extend gameplay time and value. Overall i think that the mods should not be frowned upon by Microsoft and Sony and accepted as PC users are. Here is the 'Clap-Traps' love letter, which contains the features of the Borderlands 2 Settings: This post has been promoted to an article
hope there is a way to mod weapons but im guessing it will be harder as the guns are randomly generated theres billions of combanations so it will be harder
i agree, xbox modders shouldnt be "banned" for doing the same mods that are on pc...we should get a cookie or something lol
@pistolpete im sure there will be a way or two to mod the guns, no matter how you look at it, theres always a way to break down the files and tamper with everything you can see or use
too bad the only legit thing on that account was the gun. lol. hacked skill points and bad ass tokens.
