Developer Bigpoint, known for Battlestar Galactica Online, among other things, is building a new free-to-play browser-based MOBA called Merc Elite. They decided there are enough fantasy MOBAs out there, and so it’s time for something military-themed, which is in no way old hat in the world of gaming. Merc Elite will allegedly be a simple (click and click and click) affair, with a heavy emphasis on real-time tactics. Battles can be up to 5v5, and there will be a number of character classes and loadouts to choose from. And, of course, being an F2P game, Merc Elite will have microtransactions galore for things like special characters and consumable weapons. Souce VG247
