It was quite a long time ago when Microsoft was considering BBC iPlayer for Xbox 360, but the deal came to a stand still when Microsoft wanted to make the service Gold-only, in which the BBC wanted it to be available to everybody because it’s a part of the TV licence. Well now it looks as though those talks may be going a head again to try and finalise a deal. Xbox UK boss Stephen McGill has told Eurogamer that Microsoft is still having “discussions” with the BBC over iPlayer for 360. “There are conversations going on,” he said ahead of Kinect’s UK and European launch today.
