DICE’s ever-vocal senior gameplay designer Alan Kertz has some new things to say on a wide variety of Battlefield 3-related issues.
In response to a comment made about the FAMAS needing a nerf (but attachments being fine), Kertz says, “FAMAS with foregrip and silencer is op. FAMAS alone has disadvantages, but the accessories totally cancel them.”
Meanwhile, another thing fans have had mixed opinions on is the Operation Metro map when playing game types such as Conquest. Does the map provide too many opportunities for congestions and crowding? Kertz says, “given the high popularity of metro, I think it’s fine.”
Then there’s the question of bringing the PC version’s Comrose to consoles, and how that would be accomplished. Twitter member Thal3030 suggests to Kertz “comrose 4 console button. Hold down the Y or triangle button. It’s perfect.” In response to this, Kertz replied, “It’s being discussed.”
Kertz is asked if some of the pistols or handguns need a buff. “No, they get used a ton,” Kertz says.
