Well guys, I've been out of the scene for a while. I was running my Jtag back when MW2 was 'the cool' thing to mod, and stopped about 2 years ago when my Jtag died and I never bothered to fix it. Since then I have just been PC gaming and the like. However, just now I got a steal of a price on an old dash xbox and figured it would bring some nostalgia to tag it and play some games on it. However, having been out of the scene so long lots of things seem to have changed. I understand you need an emulator to get online now, that's all cool, but I was wondering how long KV's are lasting now? Secondly, FreeBoot is still our main port of call right? And FreeStyle dash is still being updated? Sorry if I'm sounding 'old fashioned' haha, I just have no idea what's still supported and what isn't.
Welcome back ! Ok so first you don't need emulator to get online. You only need to be on the latest dash and have a Stealth Server set as (plugin in DashLaunch). Also yes Freeboot is fine still along with FSD and KV's is hit and miss. Kv's can last hours to weeks even months but all depends on the stealth server your using and what your doing online. You can use your jtag just like a xkey and last months but you could also run unsigned code online and last weeks. But then again you could last 24hours. Really is hit an miss at the min with KV's online.
at the end of the day it depends what you want to do with your tag/rgh there are many files you can get but kvs dont last.
