Basically I smashed my ShitBerry screen, I'm paying £25 a month for nothing. Just wondering if there's a loophole or anything so that I can get out of the contract somehow as I want an Xperia Play!

Not sure how it works where you are from. but here, being in the army I told verizon that I am deploying to Afghanistan and they put my contract on a military hold status. I came back last summer called them up and restarted my service. I didn't have to pay anything while deployed. Maybe something you can do, perhaps as a last resort.

Phone them saying your phone broke so you want to cancel your contract or change so you can get a new phone and maybe they will give you a new phone ;) (some company's will be that desperate)

Hmm if I phone them and say I want out I think I have to pay the full contract price all in one go :(

some companys like at&t for every month you complete your contract they take 5 dollars off of your termination fee

Over here i have called and said that i am moving to someplace where they don't offer service or they have no coverage. Make sure you have a location already because they will usually check to make sure and then they will usually cancel your contract without the termination fee because they can't fulfill the contract.
