Ever brought something on Amazon and wished you could have it right away? Well that is exactly what will happen in the future with Amazon who are now implementing Octocopters. In the not so distant future when you purchase something from Amazon, an octocopter will sit at the end of a conveyor and wait for the item. The drone will then pick up the package and using GPS will fly directly to your front door. The octocopter has eight blades, hence the name. If one of the blades broke it would still be able to fly and deliver the package. With Amazon selling 306 items every second the skies could be filled with Amazons drones in 2015 which is when these delivery bots are set to begin work. was reading this just before, would be pretty cool, but what's to stop someone from just whacking the drone and stealing the package? or what if your not in and someone walks past and takes it from the drone lol. still a really good idea though, but would it be worth it at the cost of jobs etc?
:hunter: give me those packages  pretty amazing stuff , I just hope for theirs and the customers sake the put top priority on security when developing this tech, could just see these things getting re-routed by somebody with mad h@xor skills
Thats awesome. I would be concerned about the safety. What if a kid is playing outside and wants to try and catch it as its landing lol.
You'd get people trying to make them come down to nick the stuff (As this is what the world is coming to)
imagine you buy a xbox one and ps4 and the wind knocks it loose from the drone however it gets delivered to you from falling from the sky id imagine theyd have a waiver or atleast a delivery radius as well as a weather waiver to ensure quality delivery fyi these amazon drones will eventually be used by skynet and will know your address and what electronics you posess to turn against you so tread carefully toaster buyer bread aint the only thing on the menu
Its a Bad idea because hackers can program it to deliver it to their homes and amazon will be responsible for the products thy lost
