Apparently the gamertag creation date is reset anytime the tag is renamed, according to Live support. So I have to ask, does anyone know if setting an achievement date before the date you originally created your profile will trigger a red flag? I'm thinking if the d.o.b. is reset after any name change then it wouldn't matter since this would automatically reset the first time you change the tag name for free.
Yes to achievement time stamp. i.e. Profile create 01/01/2012, Gamertag name change 01/01/2013...achievement time stamp and game last played 01/01/2011
If you mean when the tag first connected to xbox live, then yes as the servers will know that it's a illegitimate cheevo, if needs be, just set the cheevo to offline as there is no timestamp with offline cheevos
I notice. If I time stamp an achievement on a day I never actually played online (even after the profile was created) would this flag?
@villan4eva, are last played dates stamped for online play only, or would the dashboard stamp the date and upload to the servers if I set the console to a particular date and played offline?
Cheevo stamps are when you gain an achievement while connected to xbox live (if you aren't signed in now, you might notice that the connection to xbox live is still there, so they can tell if you have gained the cheevo unfairly) They can't ban for offline cheevos as the internal clock resets to 2005 at 12:00 when the power pack is removed from the wall socket, so they have no method to prove it's a hacked cheevo
Is there any proper method to stamping online achievements? I don't understand the point of having the option to time stamp cheevos.
